Managing Stress Through Exercise

Lili Santoro, my client and now good friend, suggested we make a series of videos after our training sessions to help bring positivity during this very difficult time of COVID-19.

Lili, who has been a psychiatric nurse of 13 years with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing, and I, who have been an Exercise Professional for the past 6 years with a Bachelors of Science in Health, have always shared very thought provoking conversations on the mind and body as it pertains to overall health.

We thought, since we all could really use some positive vibes during the time of quarantine, that we'd share some of those conversations.
It helps my body, makes my mind follow, and not the other way around. Not my mind telling me what to do with all this stress and worry. The body can also tell me that it's going to be okay. You don't know, you just don't, but you're going to be okay regardless."

Aside from all the physiological benefits, exercise is a great way to:
  • Improve focus
  • Improve outlook and maintain a positive mood
  • De-escalate stress
